Pharmacogenomics uses information about your DNA to help your doctor choose the most effective medicine and dose for you. CERSI-PGx is dedicated to making this “personalized medicine” a safe and standard part of care across the NHS by involving patient voices at every stage of our research.

Understanding Pharmacogenomics
Most medicines are “one size fits all,” but DNA—your body’s unique instruction manual—can affect how you react to certain drugs. A simple test can help predict if a medicine will work for you or if it might cause an unwanted reaction.
Our Commitment to Patients (Work Package 5)
Work Package 5 (WP5) focuses on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE). We ensure that regulatory pathways and testing practices are developed with the priorities of patients in mind.
How You Can Get Involved
We offer regular opportunities for patients and the public to contribute to our work through workshops, surveys, and consultations. Your experiences help us create clearer patient information and better testing guidelines for the future.
